MUHLENBERG COUNTY, KY - iSurf News is on the scene of an accident at the intersection of highway 62 and highway 189.
Harold Cobb, 44 year old Graham resident, was driving a 2008 Ford F-350 headed East, on US 62, near Harkins Station in Greenville. As he was approaching the intersection of US 62 and KY 189. Polly Morris, age 38 of Greenville, was headed South on KY 189 in a 2009 Toyota Venza toward the same intersection.
According to accident reports, Mr. Cobb glanced at his ringing phone while driving. By the time he looked back at the road, the light had changed; however, his vehicle was already in the intersection. Ms. Morris was proceeding through the intersection and was unable to avoid him. The two vehicles collided at the intersection.
Ms. Morris and her two passengers, Bailey Morris age 17 and Kennedy Morris age 9 both of Greenville, KY, were transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Cobb reported no injuries at the scene. All subjects involved were using restraints. No other information is available.
Trooper Jerrod Hearld investigated the crash that occurred on July 16, 2010 at 11:15 a.m. The Greenville Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
